Today, April 30, 2024, the Machineries Ceremonial Blessing and Turn-over for SANLACA Irrigators Association (IA) under National Irrigation Administration-AWRIS supervision was successfully administered at Brgy. Catmonon Gym, Esperanza, Agusan del Sur.
The efforts of the Convergence Program resulted in the grant to the aforementioned IA being the recipient of a Machinery Package from the DA-Philippine Center for Postharvest Development & Mechanization (PhilMec) in collaboration with the Municipal Agriculture Office and LGU-Esperanza, amounting to ₱4,000,000.00 (4 Million Pesos) which consists of: (1) Combined Harvester, (1) Rotavator, (2) Mud Boat, (1) Trailer, and (1) Kuliglig.
Members of the Sanguniang Bayan of LGU Esperanza along with its Committee Chairperson on Agriculture,Hon. Manuel Perez, emphasized his belief that SANLACA IA farmers will achieve best agricultural results under Mr. Aguilar's active leadership. Engr. Eugene G. Pedregosa, NIA ADS IMO Engineering & Operations Department Head accompanied by NIA AWRIS Key staff, PhilMec Science Research Specialist Jayvee Ruluna, MAO Esperanza Rice Coordinator Ismael Saguran, ABC President of LGU Esperanza Hon. Rene Callanta, Brgy. Captain of Catmonon Hon. Jovencio Calamba, SK Federation President LGU Esperanza John Carlo Perez and Sanlaca IA BOTs participated the ceremony.
