CABADBARAN RIS MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR IRRIGATION WATER RESOURCE TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

Last March 23–24, 2022 at the Pavillion, Watergate Butuan City, NIA Caraga through ASDI-IMO in partnership with Green-Collar Consulting Services (GCS) headed by Forester Raul Bunao, EnP held a two-day technology-transfer seminar for Cabadbaran RIS Management Plan for Irrigation Water Resource (MPIWR) to briefly explain the project profile and implementation of the Cabadbaran RIS MPIWR.

The 5-Year Management Plan identifies activities that will improve vegetative cover and construct structural support mechanisms within the 854.51 hectares of NIA area of management towards the sustainable operation of NIS and serviceability of irrigation systems.

The activity was facilitated by the GCS Team and was attended by 45 personnel comprising from Regional Irrigation Office headed by Engr. June Nathaniel S. Plaza and was represented by Acting EOD Manager Engr. Rosalina B. Caiña and ASDI IMO headed by Acting Division Manager Engr. Adeline H. Manlunas.

One of the highlights of the activity was the site visit at the watershed area as it is necessary before the implementation of the plan to ascertain the condition of the watershed area. The GCS team organized the exercise, which was attended by 45 personnel, headed by Regional Manager, June Nathaniel S. Plaza, and was represented by Acting EOD Manager, Rosalina B. Caińa, and ASDI IMO, headed by Acting Division Manager, Adeline H. Manlunas.

The site visit to the watershed region was one of the highlights of the program, as it is vital to assess the status of the watershed area before implementing the plan.
